Get ready to take your first booking
Work through these steps in order. Each one builds on the last, so you set things up once and finish with a real test booking that proves everything works.
Create your account
New businesses start on the Sign up page. Enter your business details and address, then add a card. You get a 30-day free trial with full access, and you are not charged until it ends. After the trial you pay the flat price of your plan (Starter, unless you pick another). You can move up or down a plan at any time. The free trial is one per business. If your business has had one before, the payment step tells you and asks you to confirm before your card is charged.
- Each sign-up creates one business account. The person who signs up becomes its Owner.
- After the free trial you pay a flat monthly price for your plan. Lite is $5 a month for 100 spots, Starter is $20 for 600 spots, Growth is $59 for 2,000 spots and Pro is $129 for 5,000 spots. A spot is one place on an event you schedule, and it counts whether or not someone books it. Every plan has every feature. The plans differ only in how many spots you can schedule each month, and going over your limit never stops anyone booking. If you need more than 5,000 spots a month, contact us about Enterprise. See how billing works for the full plan details.
- Manage your billing at any time from Settings → Billing. You can switch between monthly and yearly billing (yearly gives you two months free), cancel at the end of the period you have paid for, undo a cancellation, or start your plan again.
- Choose your features. The first time you open your dashboard, we ask which optional features you want, such as courses, gift cards, promo codes and waivers. Every plan includes all of them. The ones you turn off are hidden from your admin, so it starts out simpler. You can turn any of them back on later in Settings → Features.
Before you start
Pick one thing to launch first, such as a public class, a private event, a paid workshop or a free sign-up. Get that one simple event working and tested. Add extras like promo codes or waivers afterwards.
There are three kinds of user.
- Owner: looks after the account, billing, payments and the most sensitive settings.
- Admin: runs the day to day. A new admin starts with bookings and customers, and the owner can open more, such as classes, events, users and reports.
- Staff: sees the calendar and the class lists, and helps run classes.
Setup order
The setup checklist on your dashboard follows these same steps. It ticks each one off when you finish it.
Steps marked with an × are optional, and you can take bookings without them. If one does not apply to your business, select its × to take it off the checklist. The setting itself stays in Settings. The email step ticks off as soon as you save Settings → Email, even if you keep the default sender and look.
- General settings. Enter your business name, website, currency, contact details and the timezone you report in. If the name on your business registration is different from the name customers know you by, add it as your Legal business name. It is printed on receipts and on the terms customers agree to when they book.
-
Branding. Upload your logo and a small square icon (your
avatar), and choose your brand color. Your booking page and receipts show
the Full color logo, so it has to show up on white. If
you have a white version of your logo, upload it as your email logo under
Settings → Email instead, because white artwork
cannot be seen on your booking page. Type your brand color as a hex code,
such as
#7C3AED. If your brand color is pale, emails show your business name and button labels in dark text instead of white, so they stay readable. Headings in your color are made darker until they show up on white. You set the booking widget's colors, font and corner style under Settings → Booking Widget → Widget appearance. If your brand color is too light to stand out in the admin, such as a cream or a pastel, also set an Admin color under Settings → Branding. It changes only the admin. Customers keep seeing your brand color. - Email settings. Check who your emails come from. Then, under Email appearance, choose what sits at the top of each email (an email logo, your main logo, or your business name) and pick your colors. A live preview shows a sample email as you go. These settings apply to every automatic email FullClass sends for you. That includes booking confirmations, reminders, sign-in links, password resets and class lists for your instructors.
- Locations. Add at least one place where your classes happen, with its full address. Start typing and pick the address from the list, then check the timezone is right.
- Tax rates. If you charge tax, add your tax rates and choose which locations each one applies to. A rate is only charged at the locations you pick. If a rate shows a "No locations" warning, it is not being charged anywhere yet.
- Classes. A class is something you teach. It has a name, a description, photos, a length, a usual price, a number of spots and an instructor. You set it up once and reuse it for every date you run it.
- Events. An event is one date and time when a class runs. Check the instructor, location, number of spots and price. If your dates are already in a spreadsheet, you can import them all at once. See Setting up from a spreadsheet below.
- Payments. Connect your Stripe or Square account before you sell paid classes. While you are testing, connect in test mode so no real card is charged. Switch to your live account before you share your booking link.
- Where customers book. Start with your ready-made booking page. It needs no website work. You can add the booking widget to your own website later.
- Test. Make a booking yourself, as a customer would. Check that the confirmation email arrives. Then open the booking in your admin and check the payment, the customer, the spots left, your reports and the activity log.
Setting up from a spreadsheet
If you already keep your venues, classes, term dates or customer list in a spreadsheet, you can import them all in one go instead of typing them in. This also works when you are moving from another booking platform. Go to Settings → Import from a spreadsheet, download the template, fill in the sheets you need, and upload the whole file.
The template has one sheet for each kind of thing. They are read in the order below, so a sheet can refer to anything on the sheets above it.
- Locations. Where your classes happen. Each venue needs a name and a timezone. An in-person venue also needs an address, and an online one needs a joining link.
- Classes. What you teach. Each class needs a name, a length in minutes and a price. If you name a venue here, it can be one you entered on the Locations sheet of the same file.
- Schedule. Every date. Only two columns are required, the class name and the start time. Everything else is taken from the class. Fill in a price, venue or number of seats only where that date is different.
- Customers. The people you already have. Each needs an email and a first name. People are matched by email, so the same person uploaded twice is updated, not added again. An empty cell never wipes out what FullClass™ already has for them.
- Gift cards. Gift cards and class passes your customers have not used up yet. Each row gives the card's code, whether it is a gift card or a pass, what it was worth to begin with, and what is left on it. It can also name the customer who holds it.
- Bookings. Spots your customers already hold in upcoming classes. See Bringing bookings across below.
A few things to know before you fill it in.
- Refer to things by name, spelled the way you typed them. The Schedule sheet finds a class by its name, not by a code.
-
Write dates as
YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM, for example2026-09-14 18:00. They are read as local time at the venue. Dates like03/04/2026are refused, because they mean different days in different countries. -
Write prices as plain numbers like
89.25, in your own currency. - Keep the sheet names and headings as they are. They stay in English even when the rest of FullClass™ is in your language, because that is how the file is matched up.
Nothing is saved until you say so. When you upload, you see a preview of exactly what will be added and what will be updated. You also see a list of any rows with a problem, each with its row number and column, so you can find it in your own file. Fix those rows and upload the same file again. Anything that already imported is updated, not added a second time, so uploading again is always safe.
Gift cards and bookings are the exception. A gift card or booking that is already in FullClass™ is shown as Already here and left exactly as it is. That way a balance a customer has spent since you made the file never comes back, and nobody is booked into the same class twice.
Importing never emails your customers. It only builds your setup, so no confirmations or reminders go out for the dates you add.
Your file needs to be an .xlsx workbook. If yours is an older
.xls file, open it in Excel, choose Save As,
and pick Excel Workbook. You can also upload a single .csv file
if you only want to bring in one sheet. Name the file after the sheet it
holds, for example customers.csv.
Bringing bookings across from another platform
If you move to FullClass™ partway through a term, the Bookings sheet keeps the spots your customers already hold. Nobody loses their place, and nobody has to book again. Each row is one booking. It needs a Customer Email, Class and Starts At. It can also have a Location, Seats (1 if left empty) and Notes.
- Only upcoming bookings import. A row for a class that has already started is refused.
- The customer and the date must exist. The customer is found by email, either among your customers or on the Customers sheet of the same file. The class and start time find the date the same way the Schedule sheet does, either on your schedule or on the Schedule sheet of the same file. You cannot import a booking into a course session or a private event.
- No payment is recorded. Each booking holds the customer's spots with a total of zero. Whatever they paid, they paid on your old platform, so it stays out of your FullClass™ revenue and tax reports. If they need a refund of that money, give it on the old platform.
- Nobody is emailed. Your customers were already told when they booked, so no confirmation goes out. Any class reminders you have set up still reach them, like everyone else. If your old platform sends reminders too, turn them off there once you import, or your customers will get two.
- A row that would overbook is refused. The preview says how many spots that date has left. If you really do have more people booked than the class holds, raise Seats for that date on the Schedule sheet first.
- Only the person who booked is named. A booking for three people is one row under the email of the person who booked, with Seats set to 3. The names of the other people on it are not imported, and staff can add them to the booking afterwards. Put all of one customer's spots on a date in a single row.
Your dashboard and activity log
The dashboard is your home page each day. A row of numbers at the top sums up your week. It shows bookings, new customers and spots sold over the past 7 days, and how full the next 7 days are. If your role includes Reports, it also shows revenue and the money already collected for the next 30 days. Today lists every class running today and how full it is. Once a class has started, it offers Take attendance (if you use attendance check-in), which opens the class list so you can check people in. Needs attention lists things to act on, each with a button that deals with it. These include classes and courses that are filling slowly, unpaid bookings on upcoming events, sold-out events and courses with people on the waitlist, private events with a deposit or balance due, and events with bookings paused. When you add spots to a sold-out event, the waitlist offers them to people in order. Coming up shows your next few events. In checkout now appears while customers are paying, and Latest bookings lists the newest ones. On a phone, Today and Needs attention come first.
- Onboarding checklist. New accounts see a setup checklist on the dashboard. You can hide it once you are set up, and bring it back at any time.
- Activity log (Activity in the sidebar) records who changed what and when. That covers settings, bookings, gift cards, promo codes, users, locations and more. Use it to find out who made a change. It only ever shows changes in your own business.
- Send feedback from the form in the admin to reach the FullClass team directly.
Booking page, widget, or API?
| Option | Use it when | What you need |
|---|---|---|
| Hosted booking page | You want to start taking bookings quickly, with no website work. | Share your booking page link. It uses your logo and colors and works straight away. |
| Embeddable widget | You want customers to book on your own website. | Whoever looks after your website adds a short piece of code. You create a public key for it under Settings → API Keys. |
| Developer API | You have a developer, your own or an agency, building something custom. | Your developer needs a secret key. Give it to them directly and never put it on a web page. |
Once your booking page is live, put its link where customers already find you. See Add a Book now button on Instagram and Facebook. The Getting started page in your admin (owners only) also has a QR code of the link that you can print.
Check your first booking
- Your event appears on your booking page (or in the widget on your website).
- Events that are sold out, not open for booking yet, closed, private or hidden show the way you expect.
- A customer can book several spots and add the names of the people coming, up to your limit per booking.
- Any waiver or cancellation policy you added appears and has to be accepted.
- Add-ons, promo codes, gift cards and tax change the total correctly.
- A paid booking goes through, including cards whose bank asks for an extra security check.
- A free booking, or one you record as paid in cash, shows the right payment status.
- The customer gets a confirmation email, and you, your instructor and your staff get any booking alerts you turned on.
- The booking page in your admin shows who booked, the class, the spots, the amount paid, the card used, any notes, add-ons, tax, discounts, and whether the waiver was signed.
- The number of spots left goes down, both in your admin and on your booking page.
